Dr. Pengju Kang is the Technology Leader of Electrical Technologies & Systems (ETS), GE China Technology Center, in charge of new technology research, new product development, and technical services. His team is driving GE’s growth in China and globally through innovation in close cooperation with GE businesses, customers, government, universities and research institutions.

Before joining GE, Dr. Kang worked for United Technologies and Cummins engaging in various R&D fields including simulation, modeling and control of hybrid drivetrain systems, elevator controls, HVAC controls and diagnostics, security systems, controls of distributed energy systems, helicopter flight controls, and integrated vehicle health monitoring.

Dr. Kang received his PHD in Electrical Engineering from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia, MBA, Master of Computer and System Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the US, and Master of Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China.

Dr. Kang has more than 30 technical publications and 25 patents.

He will make a keynote speech on “Controls in the Age of Industrial Internet”.
